If you are being disciplined or being called in for any reason that could lead to disciplinary actions against you request union representation and give CFER a call first and we will go with you. Please don’t wait until after you've had the meeting or wrote a statement to contact CFER! We will give you advice, be a witness, and moral support. We will fight for you!
Follow the rules in the Post Orders, Smart Book and Collective Bargaining Agreement. If you’re a victim of any violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement call your Union Steward to file a grievance!! Lets ensure the company follows the rules of the CBA.
UNION MEMBERSHIP:
Upon request Full membership and Fair Share cards are available for self payment to the Union.
NEW MEMBERS:
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DUES UNTIL THEY ARE TAKEN OUT OF YOUR PAY CHECK BY THE EMPLOYER.
FULL MEMBERSHIP:
You have rights to everything, including voting and holding office.
FAIR SHARE/AGENCY FEE:
You can attend union meetings, we will represent you for any CBA violation, you have elected to have the union agency fee automatically deducted from your paycheck but you can't vote or hold office.
NON-MEMBER:
You will voluntarily make all agency fee payments on a monthly basis, you can be fined if at any time you are 30 days behind in payment. As non–members you are allowed to attend union meetings, upon request we will represent you for any CBA violation. You can't vote or hold office.
